Christmas shoebox outreach programme

The Christmas Shoebox Outreach Programme was initiated by the Ministry in the year 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The pandemic had disrupt the normal functioning of the Open Day Shelters, Children Home’s, Educational Sponsorship Programme and RSM School for the underprivileged and this had dampened the holiday spirit of the children. Despite the adversity of the pandemic the Ministry was able to bring joy to the children during the festive season by launching the Christmas Shoebox Outreach Programme.
A Christmas Shoebox is a box filled with gifts item to be distributed to less fortunate children with the aim to spread the spirit of joy and giving.
The collection of the Christmas Shoebox starts from the month of November and ends in the month of December.
This year the Ministry will be celebrating the 4th year of the Christmas Shoebox Outreach Programme. During these last 3 years the Ministry was able to distribute 3,655 Christmas Shoeboxes to the less fortunate children.
